Stage 1 ROUSH Mustang - Including ROUSH's cutting-edge styling,
wheel, and tire package.
 
Stage 2 ROUSH Mustang - Including the exclusive styling of the
ROUSH Stage 1 package, plus ROUSH's new advanced suspension
and handling package.
 
Stage 3 ROUSH Mustang - Including all the elements of what a
ROUSH Mustang can be - power, handling, and styling.  In addition
to the handling and styling components of the Stage 1 and 2 packages,
the ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang includes the ROUSHcharged 4.6L
powertrain system producing 415hp/385lb-ft.

427R ROUSH Mustang - Based on the acclaimed ROUSH
Stage 3 Mustang, this version is slightly less in content but
includes 100 percent of the fun factor.  The 427R horsepower
package is highlighted by the intercooled ROUSHcharger*
system which adds 115 horsepower and 65 lb-ft of torque
to the base Ford 4.6L, 3-valve V8 powertrain system.

2008 ROUSH Mustang 427R

Building off the already legendary 427 name, one already used for their high
performance 427 cubic inch 351w stroker, Jack Roush and crew unveils their
most powerful Ford Mustang to date. Based on the Roush Stage 3 Mustang,
(Considered Roush Stage4) the 427R adds an additional 12 horsepower for a
total of 427 ground pounding ponies (hence the name).

The additional horsepower comes by way of more agressive tuning and a
different exhaust system, with much of 427 horsepower power coming from
the new ROUSHcharger system which Roush offers via the official Roush
website. The supercharger sits atop the standard 4.6L 3v SOHC engine found
in the 2008 Mustang.

The 2008 Roush 427R comes standard with many of the trimmings you’d
expect from the famed builder, such as a four-piece aerobody kit which
includes a stylized front fascia, front chin spoiler, hood scoop and rear wing
and ROUSH 18-inch cast chrome wheels with high-performance tires and
the special 427R striping kit.

The sports-tuned suspension includes all new front struts, rear shocks, front
and rear springs and sway bars and the jounce bumpers. Each component was
designed for both comfort and performance by Roush engineers.

Authenticating the vehicle are special Roush fender badges, decklid emblem,
a serialized engine bay plate, and a Roush engine build plaque personally
engraved by the technician who upgraded the car in the Livonia, Mich., facility.
The Roush 427R is available in both coupe and convertible versions, and as with
all Roush Mustangs, a 3-year/36,000 mile warranty is included.
